Stanford University if an absolute surprise packet. The history is fascinating and the grounds are stunning. We have nothing like this in Australia. The University church contained the most amazing stained glass windows and mozaics. We could have spend all day exploring the University.
Google is a working environment and thus not focused on handling tourists! We were given an insight into the workings of the organisations by one of their Software Engineer who had many stories and philosophies to share.
We were able to see the famous ball pit, slide between the floors and relaxation cocoons all of which are more legend now that continuously used facilities. The key take out was that Google wants to control all the data in the world and you need to be very good at what you do to be considered for employment at Google.
